The reservoir is currently at 52% capacity, and as water levels continue to drop, large areas of soft, unstable mud are appearing along the shoreline.
For your safety and to help protect our local environment, we kindly ask that all walkers stay on designated paths and avoid the exposed edges.
Walking on the muddy areas can be hazardous – the surface may look firm, but it can be soft and slippery underneath, increasing the risk of injury or getting stuck. It can also harm the natural habitat and contribute to erosion.
